Singapore at last.

After what seemed like eternity on an especially turbulent SIA plane, dc and I are finally home in sunny humid Singapore. Nine months in Boston, of which 8 months are spent in sweaters and coats have made us intolerant of a mere 30oC weather here. My sister complained that my legs are ‘white’ (she meant extremely fair) because they have never seen the light of day ever since I touched down at Boston.

dc and I didn’t realize we have been away for nearly a year, I’m not sure if it’s coz its way too fun (or stressful?) in Boston or I’ve just grown out of being homesick. I think my folks visiting over Thanksgiving definitely helped. It’s been a year since we got married, a year since we went for honeymoon, a year since we left home, and interestingly it just seems surreal that we’re in Singapore – I thought this day will never come haha. I’m looking forward to four (or five?) years later when we’re finally done with USA and can come home for good. Sigh.

IMG_6446 Our last meal at home aka ‘clear the food’ meal, consisting of three packs of Ramen100, four eggs, 奶白 veggie and two cans of celebratory milo (which is strangely diluted, unlike the past milos).

IMG_6448Yay that’s dc’s luggage going into the plane!

IMG_6450  We’re deprived of KFC in US (ironic, I know), so we jumped at the chance of having fried chicken when we saw it at the New York airport! (Mental note to self: KFC in Singapore!)

IMG_6453Thirty hours on three turbulent planes knocked us off our socks. Nonetheless, dc is sane enough to recognize the A380 at its gate and immediately took the chance to snap a photo of it. It’s kinda cool that I’m in the photo too :)
